What we do better in 2013!
L'Union des Audax Indonesia
The most important change is, that we are now member of L'Union des Audax Indonesia (Audax Indonesia). Audax Indonesia is member of L'Union des Audax Francaise (UAF). Lombok Audax will follow the rules of UAF and every participant who finished an event successfully will get registered in Audax Indonesia and UAF for additonal awards like Bronze, Silver, Golden Garuda of Audax Indonesia or Silver Eagle and Golden Eagle of L'Union des Audax Francaise. The most important character of UAF is, that we will ride together in a peloton. So it's also possible to ride loger distances like 200 km per day.
Route
In March we have had an extreme weather situation in Lombok. Some parts of the street around Lombok washed away that we had to change the route. We couldn't go around. Next year the event will be 4 weeks later . The street is already repaired and additonal protection walls against a possible flood are under construction.
Streets Generally
We are very happy that many kilometers of the route around Lombok got a new asphalt surface. No potwholes, it´s a real pleasure to ride the route now.
First day - Arrival
We will have a common dinner on Friday with briefing at the 4* Hotel in Senggigi
Airport - Hotel - Airport
The Pick Up Service by Damri Bus was not so comfortable. Next year we will arrange our own busses, cars to pick you up at Friday the airport and bring you back on Monday.
Bike Transport
We are very sorry that the transport of 84 bikes from the airport to the Hotels had been delayed. We changed the structure of our team that we can asure that you will get your bike as fast as possible next year. We are very sorry that the bike of Pak Gandhen was sent to the wrong hotel. It took time to find it and to send it to his hotel. We will have an additional identification of the bikes next year.
